Yul Edochie nods in satisfaction as Judy pours prayers, praises on him in Igbo, many react

Judy Austin, the second wife of actor Yul Edochie is definitely skilled at satisfying the actor’s ego and does so to his pleasure.

The couple appeared to be getting ready to leave home in a video posted on the Yul Edochie’s Facebook page.

Yul was videotaped at this point while Judy continued to pray for and praise him.

The actress reminded her husband of his position of leadership and how his mere presence commands reverence.

A gratified Yul hummed and nodded in agreement, clearly pleased with the drama.

People who have devoted their time to dragging Judy for pursuing another person’s husband were not duped by the drama.

Other online users claim that Yul can’t leave the actress because of this worship.

You have no idea how pompous, arrogant LilWin is – Oboy Siki

Actor Oboy Siki has said without equivocation that colleague Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin is arrogant.

His statement was a comment he passed on a video which captured actor Kwaku Manu offering a piece of advice to the general public.

In the video, Kwaku Manu emphasized the importance of humility, citing several respected businessmen in Ghana as examples of down-to-earth individuals. Though he refrained from mentioning names, Oboy Siki implied that the advice was directed at LilWin.

“He should have mentioned Kwadwo’s name while giving this advice,” said Oboy Siki in the video shared by GhPage.

This led to a discussion on the show, with one of the hosts questioning whether LilWin is genuinely arrogant.

“But Kwadwo is not really arrogant; or?” said the co-host.

Oboy Siki retorted, insisting that LilWin’s arrogance was what Kwaku Manu had addressed in his advice.

“Kwadwo Nkansah is not arrogant?” Oboy Siki asked. “It’s his arrogance Kwaku Manu is talking about. Do you know how arrogant he (LilWin) is? Everyone should tag Kwadwo and tell him Kwaku Manu has shared a piece of advice and it’s meant for him.”

The cause of Kwaku Manu’s video remains unclear, and GhanaWeb cannot confirm whether LilWin was the intended target. However, there have been speculations of friction between LilWin and Kwaku Manu, adding weight to Oboy Siki’s statement.

‘The law should deal with Blacko to deter others’ – Mr Logic

Controversial entertainment pundit, Mr. Logic has called on the management of Cruise People Limited to ensure fast-rising singer, Black Sherif is made to face the law to serve as a deterrence to other artists.

On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, the ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ crooner was picked upon his arrival at the Kotoka International Airport by officers of the Ghana Police Service over a contractual breach involving a July 4 show he failed to honour in Greece.

Blacko, as he is affectionately called, was reportedly billed to perform on a cruise ship in Greece for which he reportedly charged US$40,000 and received half of the amount, however, the singer did not turn up.

It is against this backdrop that Mr Logic is calling for his prosecution.

According to him, the actions of Blacko and his team were unprofessional, an attitude he believes is inhibiting the growth of the creative arts industry.

He believes that for the creative space to be taken seriously and to thrive, one should hold each other responsible and accountable.

He added that should the law be applied fairly to Blacko, other artists and celebrated would be cautioned against doing the same.

“Artists should take a cue from this challenge, we are in a professional space and the law should take effect. let them go defend themselves in court so lessons can be learned”, he said while speaking on the United Showbiz show.

He added, “We are not making use of the court, and we take certain things likely in the creative space, the industry is known for unseriousness, and its high time the narrative change should we want a better professional environment”.

Accra’s depleting greens; Parks and Gardens begs for funding, investment.

The Department of Parks and Gardens (DPG), the state organization responsible for developing the country’s horticulture resources, has called for adequate funds and investments to address the depletion of green spaces in Accra. The DPG said that with suitable investment, adequate funding, and increased personnel capacity, it had the technical competence and potential to not only restore but also improve declining green spaces in the city. Dr Daniel Kingsford Adams, the DPG’s National Director and Chief Horticultural Officer, described the depletion as a worrying happening, saying the agency had the technical expertise to restore and develop green spaces around the city. He stated that except for challenges such as inadequate funding and a low workforce, the DPG, which was already greening several public areas, could cover wider spaces. According to him, the department, which performs landscaping and upkeep for prestige locations like the Jubilee House, the Peduase Lodge, and other government facilities, as well as landscaping for public and private dwellings, lacked the resources to take on an extensive greening project. The Chief Horticultural Officer stated that the city’s loss of green spaces should be a major concern to everyone, emphasizing that ‘it affects the quality of the air we breathe in.’ ‘Parks and gardens not only beautify the city, but they also help to maintain the ecological balance between nature and human activities,’ he explained. Dr Adams revealed that the DPG was now greening the medians and roundabouts of some major Accra roadways to compensate for the loss of green spaces. He stated that the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development was doing everything possible to adequately resource them. Dr Adams also disclosed that the Local Government Ministry was engaging the Ministry of Finance for approval to enable the DPG to recruit more workers to augment and replace its ageing workforce, of which nearly ninety per cent are due to retire within five years. ‘I must admit that the ministry has provided us with new vehicles in the last year, including two large trucks, a Landcruiser Prado, a tractor, two pickups, and working machines,’ he stated. The Department of Parks and Gardens and Tourism was established in 1961 by the passage of the Local Government Act, or Act 54, and it received Ministerial status in 1965. However, it was reverted to a department under the aegis of the Department of Forestry in 1966, after which it came under several ministries between 1970 and 2000, including Works and Housing, Local Government and Rural Development, and Environment and Science.

Which 5 hours? – How Cecilia Dapaah responded to duration of OSP’s search

Paul Adom-Otchere, host of Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana show has recounted a meeting with embattled former sanitation minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah and her husband at their residence in Accra.

The Good Evening Ghana host disclosed that he had specially been invited by the former minister in the midst of the brouhaha surrounding missing monies from her home.

Paul said on the July 27 edition of his show that he met the minister during the day prior to appearing on the show.

One of the main issues he raised with her was the reports that a five-hour search at the residence, by the Office of the Special Prosecutor, earlier that week had led to discovery of fresh stash of money.

Paul: I am talking to Cecilia Dapaah and I am saying, Aunty Ceci, is this all of the house? Is this where the five-hour search took place?

Mrs. Dapaah: Which five hours, which five hours.

Adom-Otchere continued the account of the meeting, stating that he was told that the house was built in 1976, that they had been living in the house since 1976.

He threw a jibe at the OSP, who he accused of arresting the former minister and parading photos and videos of her residence during the search. Allegations that the OSP has flatly denied as well as reports of a search and discovery of new stash of monies.
