Lagos: Nigerian actor Timini Egbuson has doubled down on his claim that he is a bigger actor than his colleague Zubby Michael, insisting that a comparison of their careers would place him ahead '100 percent.'
According to Ghana Web, Timini clarified during an interview on Cool FM that his earlier remarks were not directed specifically at Zubby Michael but reflected his confidence in his standing within the Nigerian film industry. 'The thing about it is that if you watch the show, what you first realize is that I wasn't talking about Zubby. I speak my shit every time, everywhere I go. I consider myself the biggest actor. It wasn't about being bigger than Zubby; it was about being bigger than everybody else,' he said.
Timini acknowledged Zubby's reaction, noting that it was understandable because Zubby also sees himself as one of the industry's biggest names. However, he stressed that their different opinions do not change the fact that they are both successful in their careers.
Timini went on to argue that if their achievements were measured using factors such as the quality and range of films, the number of projects, box office performance, popularity, industry recognition, consistency, and longevity, he would come out on top. 'If we now decide to break it down, statistically speaking, in terms of the quality of movies that we shoot, the range of movies that we shoot, the number of movies that we shoot, the box office records, popularity amongst people, industry experts, and years of relevance and consistency, there is no way that Zubby will score higher than me, one hundred percent,' he stated.
His latest comments come after his previous assertion about being the biggest actor sparked debate among fans, with many comparing his achievements to those of Zubby Michael and other leading Nollywood stars.
