Accra: Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the NPP, has called on residents in the Western North Region to consider the infrastructure provided in the area by the government and vote for the party. He highlighted the improvements seen in the region since its creation and urged residents to reciprocate by retaining the NPP in the upcoming December polls. According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Opoku Prempeh made these remarks at the end of a three-day tour in the region, which included visits to Chirano in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Wiawso, and Nsawora in the Akontombra constituencies. He commended the constituents for their support of the New Patriotic Party and encouraged them to remain loyal to continue benefiting from development projects. During separate rallies in Bodi, Aowin, Juaboso, Suaman, Bia West, and East Constituencies, Dr Prempeh reminded residents of the development and opportunities enjoyed by people in the Bibiani, Wiawso, and Akontombra constituencies since electing NPP Members of Parliament. He urged those in constituencies without incumbent NPP MPs to change their voting patterns, citing the examples of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai in 2004 and Akontombra and Wiawso in 2016, where voting for the NPP resulted in development projects. Dr Kwaku Afriyie, Member of Parliament for Wiawso, also addressed residents, asking them to consider the development projects the region has benefited from since the NPP came to power. He highlighted projects such as Agenda 111 at Bodi, Dadieso, and Adabokrom, the completion of Asawinso hospital, and road constructions among others, urging residents to vote based on these developments. Dr Prempeh was warmly received by enthusiastic party supporters across the nine constituencies he visited. He was accompanied by regional party leaders, including Mr Benjamin Armah, Mrs Golly Antwi Bosiako, and Mr Felix Foster Ackaah, along with other prominent party members in the region.
