Accra: Minister of Works, Housing and Water Resources, Ahmed Ibrahim, has expressed his belief that divine intervention played a role in his recent reassignment from the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. During a handing-over ceremony to his successor, Mahama Ayariga, Ahmed Ibrahim reflected on the reshuffle and shared how these events reinforced his faith in a higher power guiding his new role.
According to Ghana Web, Ahmed Ibrahim was delivering a sermon at the Global Evangelical Church on the day the reshuffle was announced. While on the church's pulpit, he received news of his reassignment, coinciding with the moment he was handed a Bible. This occurrence, viewed as significant by Ibrahim, was made more poignant by the presence of the Christian Council at the handing-over ceremony.
The minister stated that the participation of the Christian Council in the ceremony further affirmed his conviction that the transfer was not merely a coincidence. He expressed happiness and certainty that divine intervention was at play, recounting how he received the news of his reshuffle on August 7, 2026, while at the church.
