Cape coast: The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in the Central Region recently concluded a week-long clinic aimed at promoting its digital services and addressing customer concerns. This initiative marked ECG's first participation in the annual Central EXPO, held at the Adisadel College Park in Cape Coast, providing a platform for direct engagement with customers and education on its services.
According to Ghana News Agency, the clinic focused on educating visitors about meter acquisition, new service connections, energy conservation, and billing issues. A significant emphasis was placed on the ECG Power App, with staff assisting new customers in downloading, registering, and navigating the application. Participants who successfully completed the app onboarding process received branded souvenirs as a token of appreciation.
The electricity company also urged customers to settle outstanding electricity bills to enable it to enhance operations and deliver better services. Madam Tamara Asomani-Wiafe, General Manager of the Central Region, noted that the event allowed ECG to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges customers face in accessing electricity services, facilitating solutions.
She highlighted that the exhibition underscored the importance of meeting customers directly, listening to their concerns, and providing simple and convenient ways to access ECG services. Madam Asomani-Wiafe reiterated the company's commitment to addressing customer concerns and improving services to support businesses and improve livelihoods.
