Work Done by NPP Will Win December 7 Election, Not Insults – Bawumia Declares.

Goaso: Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, asserts that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to secure victory in the December 7 election, attributing this to its governmental track record. He emphasizes that no amount of insults from former President Mahama will prevent the NPP from retaining power. According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Bawumia, speaking in Akan during a tour in Goaso in the Asunafo North Constituency of the Ahafo Region, pointed out that former President Mahama had resorted to insults during his campaign tours, which goes against the campaign guidelines urging presidential candidates to use decent language. He used a local proverb to illustrate that insults would not secure an election victory, countering Mahama's recent remarks quoting former US President Bill Clinton, which contained offensive language. In response to questions posed by Mr. Mahama concerning the country's economic management, Dr Bawumia posed 50 questions of his own, which seemingly provoked Mr. Mahama further. Despite this exchange, Dr Bawumia remains confident that the NPP's accomplishments, such as infrastructure projects in the Ahafo Region, including a university, hospital, and urban road developments, will earn them the electorate's support. Dr Bawumia also highlighted the success of the Free Senior High School (FSHS) policy, which increased secondary school enrolment from 800,000 to 1.4 million students, benefiting 5.7 million school-age children to date, as evidence of the NPP's commitment to fulfilling its promises.
