A top Ghanaian video analyst, Awal Kamin Salifu has joined the Black Stars technical team ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] in Cameroon.
The young dynamic performance analyst has been added to the technical team following a request by head coach Milovan Rajevac to strengthen the department ahead of the difficult tournament.
Salifu is not the only addition to the technical team as Mike Stankovic and two scouts have been brought on board, the Ghana Football Association announced on Wednesday morning.
Salifu was formerly attached to the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana and Nordsjaelland FC in Denmark as a Performance analyst.
He has varied experience in player performance analysis and monitoring and will be a top-quality addition to the Technical team.
The four Technical brains have already started work with the team in Doha and are expected to bring their rich vein of experience to bear during the tournament which Ghana has been tasked to win.
Ghana, currently in Doha, are set to play their first and final warm-up game against Alegria on Wednesday.
They have been drawn in Group C and will open their account with a difficult fixture against Morocco, before playing Gabon and Comoros respectively.
