Lagos: Actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has advised men against holding grudges in marriage, emphasizing that communication is crucial for resolving conflicts between couples. In a recent post shared on X, Edochie highlighted the importance of addressing issues directly with spouses instead of harboring resentment, suggesting that open conversations can help couples understand the underlying causes of disagreements.
According to Ghana Web, Edochie expressed that a wife’s actions might be either her own fault or a reaction to her husband’s behavior, underscoring that only communication can unveil the root of the problem. He encouraged men to avoid keeping malice and to have one-on-one discussions with their wives to resolve differences.
Edochie stated, “Men, don’t keep malice with your wife. You’re the head of your home. No matter what your wife does to you, have a one-on-one conversation with her about it, tell her your mind, and iron things out. It might be her fault, or she could be reacting to something you did to her.”
He further elaborated that avoiding difficult conversations is a sign of weakness, while real men discuss issues regardless of their complexity. Edochie emphasized that communication is highly essential in marriage, and his remarks come amid online discussions about reports of media personality Frank Edoho’s marriage to Sandra reportedly ending due to allegations of malice.
