Accra: A young Ghanaian soldier identified as Abdul-Rahman Suhuyini has reportedly died following a motorcycle accident on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The soldier was stationed at the 10th Mechanised Battalion in Wa.
According to Ghana Web, Suhuyini was known for his passion for football, having played for local youth teams before joining the Ghana Armed Forces. Sika Official reported the incident on April 27, 2026, noting that Suhuyini was a former student of Yendi Senior High School.
In a heartfelt tribute shared by Yakubu Daney Iddrisu Mion, a former classmate, he remembered Suhuyini as a classmate from Yendi Senior High School in the Arts 'A' class around 2013. Mion expressed his sorrow, stating, "We later all joined the security services in service to God and Motherland Ghana. His passing is deeply saddening."
