Accra: Actress Xandy Kamel has rendered an unqualified apology to Adesa Productions Limited over an earlier comment she made regarding the Perfect Match Xtra programme. Adesa Productions, in an earlier statement, cautioned the actress to cease making defamatory and false statements about the show. The production company also urged Xandy Kamel to issue an apology and delete her previous social media post, in which she alleged that some producers of the programme were related to or connected to a contestant currently on the show.
According to Ghana Web, the production company warned that failure to comply with these directives could result in the actress facing possible legal action. Following the release of the statement, Xandy Kamel, in a video shared on her TikTok page on April 15, 2026, apologized to the producers and contestants of the show. The actress acknowledged that her initial claims about the production team were false and defamatory.
She explained that her comments were made due to anger and assumptions that one of the contestants was not treated fairly. In her heartfelt apology, Kamel expressed regret for her actions, stating, "I have seen the letter, and some people have also sent screenshots to me. I made some claims that some producers were connected to a contestant. So this is me accepting your letter in good faith, and I want to say I am genuinely sorry."
Further emphasizing her remorse, Xandy Kamel added, "From the deepest part of me, I am sorry. Yes, I went overboard simply because I felt someone was not treated well, and out of anger, I made those statements. From the deepest part of me, I am sorry. Kindly find a place in your heart to forgive me."
