Women in PR Ghana Unveil 2025 Top 10 Professionals

Accra: Women in Public Relations Ghana (WiPR) has unveiled the top 10 Women in PR for 2025, in recognition of their outstanding professionalism in shaping the public relations and communications landscape in Ghana and beyond.

According to Ghana News Agency, this marks the ninth year of the Top 10 Women in PR Ghana initiative, which celebrates excellence, leadership, and impact within the industry. The 2025 top 10 professionals include Ivy Heward-Mills, Asiedua Addae, Maukeni Padiki Ribeiro, and Eunice Asantewaa Ankomah. Others on the list are Effia Tenge, Naa Dzama Amu, Abigail Naa Karley Clegg, Efua Idan O. Atadja, Akosua Kwafo Ogyiri, and Maame Akua Amoah Twum.

Ms Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny, the President of Women in PR Ghana, highlighted that the recognition celebrates women who have delivered successful and innovative campaigns while demonstrating a strong commitment to mentorship. She praised the 2025 honourees as trailblazers redefining the profession through excellence, innovation, and impact, emphasizing the growing influence of women in strategic communication across sectors in Ghana and beyond.

Ms Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny also noted the diversity of this year's honourees, spanning corporate communications, banking and finance, telecommunications, development, and the public sector, demonstrating the cross-cutting relevance of PR in the contemporary world. She encouraged the honourees to continue mentoring and supporting upcoming professionals to build confident and skilled female leaders in the industry.

Providing insight into the selection process, jury member Denise Duncan (PhD) commended the high calibre of entries received, noting the strong pool of professionals delivering impactful work. She emphasized the importance of creativity and the ability to translate communication strategies into measurable organisational impact, urging PR professionals to build their professional visibility and document their achievements.

The Top 10 Women in PR initiative remains a flagship programme of Women in PR Ghana, aimed at recognising excellence, promoting mentorship, and strengthening the role of women within the communications profession. This year's honourees were selected through a rigorous process led by a six-member jury, comprising experienced industry professionals. Nominees were evaluated against criteria including a minimum of six years' experience, a proven track record of executing impactful campaigns, and the effective use of media platforms. Additional consideration was given to candidates who have led campaigns generating valuable outcomes and impact.
