Kumasi: A Ghanaian woman named Faustina is seeking GHS50,000 in compensation from her former boyfriend, Kofi Hayford, known as Ice Man, for what she describes as the time and intimacy invested in their turbulent four-year relationship.
According to Ghana Web, Faustina disclosed in an interview with Lawson TV on X on April 30, 2026, that her feelings for Ice Man diminished after she allegedly discovered his infidelity. Her suspicions were seemingly validated when she stumbled upon a locked padlock, which she interpreted as a spiritual bond he had placed on her. Faustina recounted, "A young man spiritually tied me to him using a padlock, but by God's mercy, I was able to find it and open it to free myself."
This revelation, Faustina claims, led to significant turmoil between them, ultimately resulting in Ice Man reclaiming all the possessions he had gifted her once the relationship ended. She further recounted the alleged abuse she faced, including incidents of physical violence during their disputes, which she had previously communicated to him.
Faustina added that upon deciding to leave their shared residence, her belongings were confiscated by Ice Man. The situation escalated to family involvement, with Ice Man's father reportedly acknowledging to Faustina's family that his son's violent history was the root cause of her hesitation to marry him.
Despite initially agreeing to reconcile under the condition of no further violence, Faustina claims a troubling incident occurred on April 15. After preparing a meal for Ice Man and his brother in Kumasi, she alleges that a "medical substance" was added to her food in her absence. Faustina concludes that this incident serves as further evidence of Ice Man's deceit throughout their relationship.
