Why Stonebwoy Switched Off His Phone Six Hours Before 2025 BHIM Concert

Accra: Ghanaian dancehall musician Stonebwoy has recounted how he mentally prepared ahead of the 2025 edition of the BHIM Concert, despite the controversies surrounding the event. Speaking in an interview on Starr FM on February 26, 2026, Stonebwoy revealed that he deliberately avoided social media and other distractions hours before mounting the stage.

According to Ghana Web, Stonebwoy mentioned that around 8 p.m., while spending time with his wife, some people were already expressing doubts about the event's turnout. He stated that he remained confident everything would proceed as planned and focused on the success of the concert, regardless of the skepticism.

Stonebwoy further disclosed that his wife informed him the venue was suddenly packed, yet he chose not to watch videos or view updates on her phone. Instead, he wanted to experience the crowd firsthand when he stepped on stage. This decision was part of his strategy to stay focused and avoid unnecessary pressure.

Additionally, Stonebwoy noted that he turned off his phone six hours before the show. This action was a deliberate attempt to maintain his focus and avoid distractions, ensuring that he faced the audience with a clear mind.
