According to Ghana Web, DJ Slim highlighted the troubled history between Kweku Smoke and Shatta Wale, which allegedly involved physical altercations with members of Smoke's team. DJ Slim expressed his belief that it was inappropriate to feature Shatta Wale on such a platform, given their past conflicts. He further criticized Kweku Smoke, implying that a genuine artist would not allow someone who previously caused them harm onto their stage.
