We Reported Mustapha Hamid to Akufo-Addo Over His Arrogance, Claims NPP Vice Chairman

Accra: A Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu, has described Mustapha Abdul-Hamid as arrogant, claiming he became full of himself after receiving a political appointment under the previous government.

According to Ghana Web, Alhaji Osman Masawudu stated that Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, a former appointee, ceased to answer calls from national officers of the party once he gained prominence. Despite having held significant national positions within the party and later serving as a minister and CEO, Abdul-Hamid allegedly failed to respect the party's leadership. Even after the issue was reported to the president at the time, his attitude reportedly remained unchanged.

Masawudu expressed his concerns in an interview with Atinka TV, explaining that some ministers did not accord the national officers the respect they deserved. He suggested that the prolonged tenure of some ministers led them to believe they were irremovable, resulting in behavior that prioritized personal interests over the party's welfare. This prompted the General Secretary to urge ministers who felt fatigued to step down.
