Gaza: Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Al Sheikh, conducted separate farewell meetings with the French Consul General, Nicolas Cassianedes, and the Representative of the Swiss Confederation to the State of Palestine, Anne-Lise Cath©rin Heiniger. These meetings were held to discuss regional developments and the strengthening of bilateral relations.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the discussions centered on regional security and the enhancement of bilateral relations, particularly following France's recognition of the State of Palestine. This recognition is seen as a significant step in advancing political efforts toward peace in the region.
The dialogues also emphasized the importance of implementing the Palestinian reform program, a national demand aimed at developing national institutions. The discussions included affirming the necessity of maintaining a democratic approach, especially through the upcoming general elections.
In concluding the meetings, Vice President Al Sheikh expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Cassianedes and Heiniger in reinforcing Palestinian relations with France and Switzerland. He conveyed his best wishes for their future missions.
