Nairobi: UK police are investigating two separate allegations of historic child sexual abuse, following the release of the Epstein files.
According to Ghana News Agency, Surrey police in south-eastern England stated that they are examining two separate allegations of non-recent child sexual abuse after the US Department of Justice released files related to Jeffrey Epstein. One report is connected to incidents in Surrey and Berkshire from the mid-1990s to 2000, while the other pertains to the mid to late 1980s in West Surrey. No arrests have been made yet, but the police emphasized their commitment to thoroughly investigating all reports of sexual offenses by identifying reasonable lines of enquiry and seeking corroborating evidence.
In February, Surrey Police urged witnesses to come forward after a redacted report was released by the US Department of Justice in December. The report detailed allegations of human trafficking and sexual assault that allegedly occurred in the Surrey town of Virginia Water between 1994 and 1996.
