Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira DCE Commissions Multiple Boreholes in District

Ghana: Mr Patrick Fiable, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira, has commissioned seven mechanised boreholes and two hand pump water projects to enhance access to clean and safe drinking water in the district. The initiative is part of the Assembly's efforts to improve water supply for the residents.

According to Ghana News Agency, the communities benefiting from the new water facilities include Nyameyeadom, Betimore, Twifo Hemang, Fantefuom, Shed, Kwekukrom, Antwikwaa, Kweku Dadzie, and Bekawpa. During the symbolic commissioning ceremony held at Nyameyeadom, Mr Fiable emphasized that providing potable water to these communities has significantly alleviated the challenges previously faced by residents in obtaining water for their daily needs.

Mr Fiable urged the communities to utilize the facilities responsibly and ensure their regular maintenance. He also assured that the Assembly is committed to expanding such projects to other underprivileged areas to address the water and sanitation needs of the district's populace.

Nana Koomson I, the Odikro of Fantefuom, expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiary communities to the DCE and the District Assembly for their efforts. He promised to undertake regular maintenance of the water facilities to ensure their longevity.
