Accra: Ghanaian gospel musician Celestine Donkor has shared insights into the streaming trends of her songs across African countries, revealing that Togo leads the chart. Speaking on Hitz FM, Donkor explained that after Togo, Benin ranks second, followed by Ghana.
According to Ghana Web, the veteran singer clarified that the trend shifts when she releases songs entirely in the Twi language. In such cases, Ghana takes the lead in streaming. Donkor noted, "I've noticed that when I do completely Twi songs, Ghana tops. But the moment you introduce some Ewe, then the conversation changes."
She further elaborated that this information does not discourage her but instead guides her in understanding the musical preferences of her audience across different regions.
