Accra: Tiger Eye PI, a private investigative organization, has issued a response to claims made by anti-corruption campaigner Vitus Azeem concerning alleged investigations into Ghana's Parliament.
According to Ghana News Agency, the investigative firm released a press statement on April 05, 2026, clarifying that while it engaged with anti-corruption Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) around the time of its judiciary expos©, no conclusions had been reached on investigations into Parliament. The firm explained that the meeting mentioned by Mr. Azeem primarily dealt with the judiciary expos©, during which inquiries were made about the absence of investigations into Parliament.
Tiger Eye PI stated that its lead investigator, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, had responded by saying that Parliament would be considered for future investigations. The organization emphasized that this response should not be taken as evidence of a concluded investigation or that any findings had been shared with Members of Parliament, as Mr. Azeem had suggested.
The organization reiterated, "The indication that we would look into Parliament reflects ongoing interest and does not imply that any investigation has been concluded." It emphasized that all institutions, including Parliament, are within its scope of anti-corruption work.
Tiger Eye PI further clarified that no investigation into Parliament has been concluded or shelved. The organization expressed its dedication to transparency, ensuring that any completed investigation would be made public promptly, in accordance with its established practices.
In addition, Tiger Eye PI challenged Mr. Azeem to provide evidence if he had any information suggesting that a completed investigation had been withheld. This development comes amidst public discussions on the scope of anti-corruption investigations in Ghana and the role of investigative bodies in promoting accountability.
