Accra: Head of Public Events and Communications at Charterhouse Ghana, Robert Klah, has provided insight into the decision-making process for nominations at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). In an interview on Hitz FM on March 16, 2026, Klah emphasized that the TGMA Board independently handles nominations, without external influence.

He explained that the board engages in extensive discussions, akin to public debates, before arriving at a consensus. Robert Klah addressed concerns regarding omissions from certain categories, noting that the competitive nature of the music industry plays a significant role. He stated that not making it into a category could be due to the competitive performance of other artistes during the same period.
