According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Amos stressed that educating girls is not just a social obligation but a vital investment in the nation's development. Drawing from his experiences with high-ranking individuals, he noted that women in authority often exhibit proactivity and a results-oriented approach.
He observed that women leaders consistently show dedication, diligence, and accountability, suggesting that the nation should intentionally support girl-child education to groom future female leaders. Mr Amos pointed out that educating girls leads to broader societal benefits, such as better health, poverty reduction, and enhanced local governance, urging parents to prioritize their daughters' education.
Furthermore, he encouraged policymakers to develop policies that foster gender equity in educational and professional settings. He also praised Ms Ebi Bright, the Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, for her decisive leadership in clearing unauthorised structures in the metropolis. Her actions, he said, exemplify leadership that values order and long-term development over immediate political gains, asserting that the decongestion was a necessary step for improving urban planning in the region.
