Accra: The Human Resource Manager of Telefonika Ghana, Esinam Adablah, highlighted the company's significant contribution to job creation as it continues to expand its operations throughout the country. During an interview with GhanaWeb Business at the opening of Telefonika's Cantonments branch, Adablah emphasized how the company's growth has been instrumental in reducing unemployment in Ghana.
According to Ghana Web, Telefonika has progressed from a single outlet in Osu to approximately 20 branches nationwide. This expansion has facilitated the employment of numerous young individuals, particularly in sales roles at the various branches. Adablah noted that the company's journey began in Osu and has now extended to major malls and cities across Ghana, including Accra Mall, Junction Mall, Achimota Mall, West Hills, Kumasi Mall, and Takoradi.
The company offers a diverse range of products such as phones, accessories, home devices, CCTV cameras, gaming accessories, and televisions. Adablah stressed that the expansion of Telefonika is not only about business growth but also about addressing unemployment by creating job opportunities for the youth. She stated that the presence of 20 branches is a testament to the company's robust growth and its impact on the retail sector.
Telefonika plans to continue expanding its reach, making electronics and digital products more accessible to people across Ghana while helping to mitigate unemployment through sustained job creation.
