Techiman: Mrs Juliana Kobeta, the Techiman Branch Manager of the Presbyterian Trinity Cooperative Union, has announced that the union's asset base experienced significant growth from GHC7 million in 2024 to GHC9 million in 2025. She attributed this remarkable increase primarily to the strong relationship fostered with customers and community members within the union's operational areas.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mrs Kobeta, in an interview conducted in Techiman, revealed that the union expanded its reach by opening additional branches in the Techiman Metropolis and Akumadan in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti Region. This expansion has been accompanied by financial support initiatives, particularly for more than 50 tomato growers, aimed at enhancing their economic activities through increased capital bases.
Mrs Kobeta further explained that the union provided beneficiaries with low-interest loans, enabling them to boost their business capitals and ensure the smooth operation of their businesses during the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years. Additionally, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the union has supported many schools by building classrooms and other educational facilities. The local Gari Women Producers have also greatly benefited from these CSR activities.
Emphasizing the union's commitment to improving the socio-economic livelihoods of the community, Mrs Kobeta encouraged traders, farmers, and entrepreneurs to engage in business with the union.
