Taxi Driver Fatally Shot in Kotwi-Nkoransa: Community Demands Swift Justice

Kotwi-nkoransa: A 35-year-old taxi driver, Kwabena Awuah, also known as Asawado, was tragically shot and killed by unidentified assailants in his taxi, which bore the registration number AW 2458-20. The incident took place around midnight in Kotwi-Nkoransa, located within the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.

According to Ghana Web, an eyewitness, Ibrahim Gyamfi, shared insights with OTEC News Reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng, revealing that the deceased had an altercation with his wife earlier in the evening. "He was in the house in the evening around 8 pm and had a misunderstanding which led to a fight with his wife. Around 11 pm he told us he was going to work, and this morning we heard he has been killed," Ibrahim Gyamfi stated. Kwabena Awuah reportedly left his home after 11 pm to commence work and was later discovered dead in his car.

Local police from Brofoyedru have since transported the body to the mortuary. Investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for the killing. The incident has prompted residents in the area to urge the police to expedite their investigations and ensure that justice is served swiftly.
