Supervisors and Invigilators Urged to Maintain Professional Standards for Upcoming BECE

Tarkwa nsuaem: Mr Ebenezer Cobbinah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tarkwa Nsuaem, has tasked supervisors and invigilators assigned to this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to carry out their duties with professionalism. He urged them to create a calm, fair, and serene environment at the various examination centres to enable candidates to remain confident and give off their best performance.

According to Ghana News Agency, the MCE also cautioned them against any conduct that could negatively affect the overall performance of candidates during the examination, which is expected to begin on Monday, May 4, 2026. This was contained in a press statement signed by Mrs Babbie Annan-Nunoo, Assistant Director in charge of Communication for the MCE.

Mr Cobbinah commended the candidates for their hard work, dedication, and commitment towards preparing for the examination, describing the BECE as an important milestone in their academic journey. He advised them to remain calm and focused, read and follow instructions carefully, manage their time effectively, and give off their very best in each paper.

The MCE further cautioned candidates to refrain from examination malpractice, noting that such acts could result in severe consequences and jeopardise their future. He expressed confidence that with discipline, determination, and hard work, the candidates would excel and secure a brighter future for themselves, their families, and the municipality.

A total of 4,867 candidates are expected to sit for this year's BECE across 15 examination centres in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality.
