Dodi-papase: Master Musah Osman, the Students' Representative Council (SRC) President of Dodi-Papase Senior High Technical School (DOPASS), has raised concerns over stray animals entering classrooms and disrupting lessons. The animals also frequent the dining hall, causing distractions for students and staff alike.
According to Ghana News Agency, Master Musah highlighted these issues during the grand durbar of the School's SRC Week celebration held at Dodi-Papase in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region. He emphasized that students are often forced to abandon their studies to remove the animals from classrooms, dormitories, and offices.
Master Musah made a special appeal to Nananom, urging them to advise the local residents to keep their animals under control to prevent disruptions in teaching and learning. He stressed the importance of community cooperation in addressing this issue.
In addition to the challenges posed by stray animals, Master Musah acknowledged that the school faces infrastructure deficits and inadequate teaching and learning materials. Nonetheless, he noted that students performed well in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), with 163 out of 164 candidates achieving aggregates between A1 and E8, representing a 99.39 percent success rate.
The week-long celebration was themed 'Empowering SRC, Empowering Ghana: Nurturing Leaders of Tomorrow.' During the event's culmination, Miss Mary Dzogbevu and Master Fazazi Ibrahim were crowned Ms and Mr DOPASS 2026, receiving a crown and a golden belt, respectively. Other students were awarded certificates in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
