Accra: The Ghana Chapter of the Stellenbosch Business School (SBS) Alumni Association has launched a thought leadership series to promote ethical leadership and support policy and business development in Ghana and across Africa. The initiative will bring together professionals, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to develop practical solutions on governance, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.
According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Ralph Nordjo, Chair of the Ghana Chapter of the Stellenbosch Business School Alumni Association, announced the initiative at a forum in Accra on the theme: 'Technology-Powered Africa: Financing Sustainable Energy and Enterprise Transformation.' He said the platform would facilitate discussions on business, governance, economic transformation, sustainability, and leadership while promoting practical solutions to financing innovation across the continent.
Dr Nordjo emphasized the association's belief in the power of collective decision-making, asserting, "As an association, we believe that when capable minds convene, the result is better decision-making, stronger institutions, and lasting impact - a philosophy that underpins the Chapter's continued investment in these forums." The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers and to encourage more Ghanaian professionals to pursue internationally recognized business education.
He further remarked that the event was not merely an alumni gathering but a platform where knowledge meets practice, and ideas inspire action, allowing leaders to shape the future of business, policy, and society. The forum attracted policymakers, business executives, and academics to discuss issues related to financing sustainable energy, enterprise transformation, and innovation.
Dr Nordjo highlighted the offerings of Stellenbosch Business School, which include postgraduate qualifications such as the Master of Business Administration, specialized master's degrees, postgraduate diplomas, executive education, and doctoral programs. These are designed to equip leaders with the necessary knowledge, skills, and global outlook to navigate a complex business environment and contribute to Africa's transformation.
He encouraged prospective students to engage with alumni to gain insights into the institution's academic experience and management education and urged participants to use the forum to build professional networks, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations beyond the event.
