Anyirawase: Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has called on guardians to aid their wards to positively explore technology and offer guidance to minimise threats posed by the use of emerging technologies. Speaking in Anyirawase, in the Ho West District of the Volta Region on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, he noted that technology, though an important training tool, threatens the moral upbringing of the children.
According to Ghana Web, Bagbin during the visit cut sod for the construction of an 8-unit classroom block for Anyirawase EP Primary to enhance access to education in the area, promising the structure will be ready by the end of 2026. He emphasized that while technology plays a pivotal role in education, it also poses risks that could impact the country's future. He urged stakeholders to be proactive in managing the use of technological tools for education and beyond.
Bagbin also advised parents to take a keen interest in their children's educational needs, stressing the importance of providing necessary guidance during their formative years in this technological era. He stated, 'We must not allow technology to destroy the future of our children but assist them to become a better version of themselves.'
The Awudome Traditional Authorities expressed their appreciation for Bagbin's commitment to development and requested further support to strengthen the chieftaincy institution in the area.
