Dormaa-ahenkro: Six communities in Dormaa Central are set to benefit from rural telephony projects by 2027, as announced by Mr. John Kwame Adu Jack, the Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central in the Bono Region. The communities include Danyame, Antwirifo, Yawkrom, Kofikumikrom, Aboabo Number Four, and Twumkrom.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Jack shared that the telecommunication enhancement will also extend to nearby villages and towns such as Asunsu Number Two, Nsesreso, Dabaabi, Sromani, Chichiwere, and Manteware. This initiative aims to improve the standard of living in these areas through better telecommunication services. The announcement was made during the Dormaa Central Municipal celebration of the 69th Independence Anniversary at Dormaa-Ahenkro.
Mr. Jack explained that the projects are a response to community members' complaints about inadequate telecommunication networks. He also highlighted concerns about the poor condition of the Aboabo and Pamu-Atesikrom roads, assuring that these roads would be upgraded. Furthermore, he mentioned that the Kyeremasu-Gambia, Masu-Nkrankwanta, and Danyame-Asunsu Number One-Asunsu Number Two-Taforo road projects are included in the 'Big Push' road infrastructure programme.
