Showboy Reacts to Arrest of Ghanaians in US Over Alleged Fraud

Accra: Ghanaian socialite-turned-musician Showboy has reacted to the arrest of two Ghanaians, identified as Arrangement and Lancaster, in the United States over their alleged involvement in fraudulent activities. In a video shared on social media on May 4, 2026, Showboy stated that the decision by the two individuals, Jamal Abubakari and Kamal Abubakari, to travel to the United States was a poor judgment.

According to Ghana Web, Showboy described the two as 'fraud boys' and criticized them for not exercising caution, especially amid ongoing arrests by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) involving Ghanaians. He emphasized that they should have been aware of the risks associated with traveling to the United States to conduct business in person, given that their alleged victim was based there.

Showboy expressed his disapproval of the situation, stating, 'This is the most foolish situation ever. You already received huge sums of money from your client in America, and you know the client has become aware of the scam. What are you going to do in the man's country?' He further explained that the FBI had traced the money directly to their bank account, creating a clear paper trail linking the Abubakaris to the alleged fraud.

The musician conveyed his frustration, noting, 'Now the FBI knows that the money the middleman received wasn't for him because it was sent directly to your bank account. There is a clear paper trail, and the FBI is aware that the person behind it is Abubakari. I'm tired of talking because you boys have refused to learn,' he said.
