Accra: Entertainment pundit MC Yaa Yeboah has claimed that Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale is unlikely to use his personal funds to organise a concert at London's O2 Arena. According to her, the artiste has consistently maintained that he sees no need to invest his own money in staging shows outside Ghana, preferring to perform when promoters or investors finance such events.
According to Ghana Web, Yaa Yeboah discussed the topic during a conversation with entertainment journalist Vida Adutwumwaa on August 4, 2026. She questioned the expectation that Shatta Wale should independently book the iconic venue, emphasizing that he has often reiterated his unwillingness to personally finance international shows.
"Will Shatta use his personal money to organize a show in London? He will never do it. I dare him to go and book O2 Arena with his own money for his show," Yeboah stated. She explained that Shatta Wale has, on several occasions, expressed his belief that organizing international concerts with his own resources does not align with his priorities.
MC Yaa Yeboah elaborated that Shatta Wale's reluctance stems from his stance that such endeavors do not make sense to him, even extending to the production of music videos outside Ghana. However, she noted that he remains open to performing at international venues if the event is financed by promoters or investors.
"One thing about Shatta is that, if the show has to do with someone who's organizing the event, he will mix himself up with the person. When he gets an investor who would tell him to book O2 for his show, he would gladly do it but for him to use his own money to book O2 Arena for his show, he will never do it," she added.
