Accra: Former Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, Senyo Hosi, has expressed admiration for Sharaf Mahama, founder of Legacy Rise Sport, highlighting his significant contributions to the boxing sector in Ghana. Senyo Hosi praised Mahama for organising international boxing events that have uplifted the standards of the sport in the country.

According to Ghana Web, Hosi emphasized that Sharaf Mahama, son of President John Dramani Mahama, has been instrumental in providing a platform for local boxers to showcase their talent on an international stage. Through his agency, Legacy Rise Sport, Mahama has successfully hosted notable events such as the Battle of the Beasts at the Bukom Boxing Arena and The Showdown at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, slated for December 20, 2025.

Recognizing the positive impact of these events, Hosi urged the public to support Mahama's initiatives rather than subject them to unwarranted criticism. He noted that Sharaf's dedication to the boxing industry began well before his father's presidency, underscoring his genuine commitment to the sport.

Hosi expressed his pride in Mahama's achievements, describing him as a commendable figure whose efforts have instilled hope within the sports community. "Sharaf is a very fine gentleman. I think his boxing organisation should be supported by all and sundry. He has brought hope to the industry and to those who had aspirations in that regard," Hosi stated during an interview on Accra-based Channel One TV.
