Accra: Chairman of the newly constituted Resource Mobilisation and Partnership Committee, Samson Deen, has pledged to work with members to deliver measurable results in support of the Reset Ghana Sports Agenda. Speaking at the official inauguration of the committee on July 14, 2026, Deen said the appointment was not ceremonial but a call to action and a responsibility to help transform Ghanaian sport.
According to Ghana Web, Deen emphasized that the committee's mandate includes mobilising both financial and non-financial resources, establishing credible local and international partnerships, creating support avenues, and contributing to the rehabilitation and sustainable management of sports infrastructure. He stated that the committee would adopt an inclusive and accountable approach in carrying out its responsibilities.
Deen highlighted that the committee will engage corporate Ghana, development institutions, diplomatic missions, international sports organisations, communities, and the media to build partnerships providing meaningful support for the development of Ghanaian sport. He added that every partnership pursued by the committee must have clear objectives, transparency, and measurable deliverables.
He further mentioned that the committee would focus on building sustainable partnerships rather than relying on short-term funding arrangements. Deen articulated that the mandate is not simply to raise money for sport but to build a credible system connecting talent, investment, partnerships, and national opportunity. He concluded by stressing that the success of the committee would ultimately be measured by the resources mobilised, partnerships established, and opportunities created for athletes and other stakeholders across the country.
