Accra: Member of Parliament Sammi Awuku has reacted to musician KK Fosu's announcement of his intention to unseat him in the 2028 elections.
According to Ghana Web, KK Fosu, also known as The D Styler, has declared his ambition to challenge Sammi Awuku for the Akuapem North parliamentary seat. KK Fosu plans to run as an independent candidate and believes he is the right person to represent the people of the constituency. In an interview with Asempa FM, he expressed his confidence in defeating Awuku, stating, "I will contest for the seat. I did not contest in 2024 because of my accident. When Sammi Awuku heard I wanted to contest, he also joined the contest. If he wants, he should leave the NPP and also contest as an independent candidate, I will beat him. Even the NPP is dead so I can beat him."
In response to KK Fosu's remarks, Sammi Awuku took to social media with a light-hearted suggestion. He encouraged the musician to create a campaign song for him before considering to join the race for the parliamentary seat. Awuku stated, "Kk Fosu m'aya da ! Please get me a campaign track before you pick nomination forms. Nice weekend Bro."
