Kumasi: Former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Mayor Sam Pyne has suggested that the government could file a nolle prosequi during the appeal process involving former Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Chief Executive Officer, Sedina Tamakloe Attionu. Speaking on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen programme, Pyne remarked that such a move would not come as a surprise to him.
According to Ghana Web, Pyne expressed his belief that the government may be planning to enter a nolle prosequi during the appeal process. He emphasized his lack of surprise if Tamakloe were to be set free, marking his words on the potential legal direction the case might take.
Pyne further alleged that the current developments could be part of a broader legal strategy. He speculated that the strategy might involve ensuring that Tamakloe is not taken to prison, only to later use the law to enter a nolle prosequi during the appeal.
