Salaga: The Member of Parliament for the Salaga South Constituency, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has made a significant contribution to the Muslim community by donating 650 bags of 50kg sugar ahead of the 2026 Ramadan. This initiative is part of her annual support to constituents during the holy month, which is a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims globally.

According to Ghana Web, the donation was acknowledged at a brief ceremony where the Constituency Chairman, Haruna Abdul Aziz, accepted the items on behalf of the party and the beneficiaries. He expressed appreciation for the MP's leadership and her dedication to fortifying the party at the grassroots level. Abdul Aziz also prayed for divine replenishment of the resources used for this gesture and promised that the distribution would be executed with fairness and transparency.

The 650 bags of sugar are set to be distributed to needy constituents through various channels including party branches, community leaders, religious and traditional authorities, as well as imams, women, and youth group leaders across the constituency. In her message for Ramadan, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah encouraged Muslims to pray for peace, tranquillity, and development both in the constituency and the nation. She emphasized her ongoing support for the Muslim community and her commitment to sustaining a robust and positive relationship with them.
