Brong ahafo region 'c': The Brong Ahafo Region 'C' of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, recently hosted an apostolic visit by the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, and the National President of the Ministers' Wives Association, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, at the Central Assembly of God Church in Mim.
According to Ghana News Agency, this visit marked the third apostolic mission by Rev. Wengam to the region, gathering both active and retired ministers, their spouses, and widows of deceased pastors. A key feature of the visit was a three-and-a-half-hour prayer session led by Rev. Wengam, which centered on themes of thanksgiving, repentance, revival, intercession, and petition.
During the event, special prayers were dedicated to the forthcoming General Council Meeting of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, and the World Congress of the Assemblies of God Fellowship, set to occur in Accra in October. Additionally, Rev. Wengam guided married couples in renewing their wedding vows and urged pastors and their spouses to exemplify marriages that church members could emulate.
Before the main event, Rev. Wengam reviewed the progress of the regional office building project, expressing satisfaction and urging the Regional Executive Committee to complete the project by 2028. The Regional Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Osei Owusu, acknowledged the achievements under Rev. Wengam's leadership, attributing them to the church's Transformation Agenda. He praised Rev. Wengam for his visionary leadership, highlighting initiatives like the Assemblies of God, Ghana Centenary City Project, apostolic visits, church reforms, leadership exposure trips, and a notable spiritual revival within the church.
Rev. Osei Owusu also appreciated the Wengams' contribution of 250 bags of cement towards the regional office project and their sponsorship of a legacy project at Goaso in 2022. He noted the General Council's recent financial support of GHS50,000 for the office complex completion.
Lady Mrs. Wengam acknowledged the role of pastors' wives in ministry and encouraged unity in their homes. She presented gifts to serving and retired pastors, their spouses, and widows of deceased pastors. The retirees received cash and other items, while their spouses and the widows were given cash gifts and pieces of cloth. Pastors' wives each received a piece of cloth, and pastors were gifted as well.
In appreciation, the Brong Ahafo Region 'C' Council presented a ram to Rev. and Mrs. Wengam.
