Tamale: Preacher and wife of Rev Eastwood Anaba, Rev Rosemond Anaba, has opened up about the emotional trauma she experienced after losing two of her children. Speaking about the painful period in her life during the Women Redefined Conference held on March 14, 2026, Rev Anaba recounted how she constantly prayed using Psalm 91, asking for God's protection over her children before tragedy struck.
According to Ghana Web, the loss left her feeling deep shame and emotional distress, particularly because of how she perceived people in her community reacted to her situation. Rev Anaba expressed feeling mocked and hooted at by those around her, which compounded her grief.
'I felt so much shame. I don't know whether you've been there before, where you feel shame. You are a Christian walking with God, and all of a sudden, this happens, and then the town you are in, people are laughing at you,' she shared. The emotional burden became so overwhelming that she considered leaving town completely. However, she explained that her intention was not to relocate to another city but to isolate herself entirely from people.
Rev Anaba recounted a conversation with her husband, who suggested she might want to spend some time in Accra. She declined, expressing a desire to isolate herself in a place devoid of human presence to escape the shame and hooting she felt. The emotional turmoil also affected her ministry, as she struggled to continue preaching.
Her husband later intervened, praying for her and performing what she described as a deliverance, which helped her overcome the difficult emotional period. Reflecting on the experience, Rev Rosemond Anaba noted that life often presents difficult seasons, but emphasized that prayer helped her endure the painful moment.
'But all I'm saying is we have our seasons, we have our times, so one moment you have four children, the next time they become two, and then you're like, what happened, what went wrong? But in all of it, what saved me was the prayer. Your ability to be able to stay quiet in His presence and hear what He has to tell you,' she added.
