Sunyani: Mr Ransford Antwi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Sunyani-based Suncity Group of Companies, has made a financial contribution of GHC10,000 to support the construction of a standard clinic at the Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC). This initiative is being undertaken by the 1999 Year Group of SUSEC to enhance healthcare services for students and is led by Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, the Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Antwi, who is also an independent parliamentary candidate for the Sunyani East constituency in the Election 2024, mentioned that he decided to donate the money refunded by the Electoral Commission as a filing fee to aid the clinic's construction. He expressed his intentions during a sod-cutting ceremony at the project site, located within the school premises, where he also praised the 1999 Year Group for their efforts.
Mr Antwi stated his desire to create a lasting impact with the refunded filing fee by investing in a project of significance led by Odeefour Ogyemansan Korkor II. He encouraged others, including friends, SUSEC alumni, corporate entities, and faith-based organizations, to contribute to the project's realization, emphasizing that while the benefits may not be immediate, future generations would reap the rewards.
As a philanthropist, Mr Antwi emphasized the importance of giving back to society as a lasting legacy for future generations. He expressed optimism that with collective support, the group could further enhance educational growth and development. The Suncity Group of Companies, under Mr Antwi's leadership, operates Suncity FM and the Suncity Imperial Lodge in Sunyani.
