Accra: The Annual Report on the Staffing Position of the Office of the President has revealed that 808 individuals were employed at the office from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. This workforce comprises 585 public servants and 233 political appointees.
According to Ghana Web, the breakdown of political appointees includes 4 Ministers of State at the Presidency, 39 political staffers, and 190 other political appointees. The Ministers of State are Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu for Government Communications, Hon. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum for Special Initiatives, Hon. Seidu Issifu for Climate Change and Sustainability, and Hon. Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba for Public Sector Reform.
The list of presidential staffers is led by Mr. Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff, with Dr. Calistus Mahama serving as Executive Secretary to the President. The Senior Presidential Advisor for Governmental Affairs is Dr. Valerie E. Sawyerr, while Dr. Nii Moi Thompson is the Presidential Advisor to the President. Hon. Alexander Percival Segbefia acts as the Senior Political Advisor to the Vice President.
Nana Oye Bampoe Addo and Mr. Stanislav Xoese Dogbe hold the positions of Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration and Operations, respectively. Professor Kwaku Danso-Boafo serves as Secretary to the Cabinet, and Mr. Prosper Douglas Bani is the National Security Advisor. Legal Counsel to the President is provided by Ms. Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew, while Mr. Seth Emmanuel Terkper advises on the economy.
Additional presidential advisors include Ms. Joyce Bawah Mogtari for the Sustainable Development Goals Unit and Professor Francis Dodoo for the National Anti-Corruption Programme. The team is rounded out by several other presidential staffers and advisors serving in various capacities within the President's and Vice President's secretariats.
