Paris: President John Dramani Mahama has begun a one-day official visit to Paris, France. He was accorded a full state welcome with military honours at Les Invalides in Paris ahead of his official meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The ceremony, which was marked by rich tradition and precision, underscored the enduring diplomatic ties between the two countries.
According to Ghana Web, the two leaders are expected to engage on key areas of bilateral cooperation and global partnership. The talks are anticipated to focus on deepening Ghana-France relations, with discussions covering sectors such as health, education, trade, investment, and regional security.
Ahead of the bilateral meeting, President Mahama will also meet G©rard Larcher at the French Senate, as part of efforts to strengthen parliamentary and institutional ties between the two countries.
