Accra: President John Dramani Mahama on Friday started a two-day Resetting Ghana tour of the Central Region: The President inspected key infrastructure projects, engaged with residents and took part in regional development activities.
According to Ghana News Agency, President Mahama began the tour with a sod-cutting ceremony for a 24-Hour Economy market at Assin Breku in the Assin North District. This initiative aims to boost local commerce and create employment opportunities for the residents.
At Nyamedom on Friday, he inspected the Community Health Planning and Services Compound and made a presentation of free healthcare kits to the facility. This move is part of the government's efforts to enhance healthcare accessibility and quality in the region.
In the afternoon, President Mahama inspected progress of work on the Kafodzidzi-Aburansa Big Push Road in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Municipality. The road project is expected to facilitate transportation and improve connectivity within the region. He ended the day with a visit to the Cape Coast Castle, a site of historical significance.
