Atlanta: A court has dismissed the erectile dysfunction battle between Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams and her ex-husband, Simon Guobadia.
According to Ghana Web, Guobadia filed the lawsuit against Williams in 2024, but court documents indicate that a Georgia judge has since approved his request to drop the case. The judge, while dismissing the case, issued a warning that Guobadia would be responsible for Williams' legal expenses if he attempts to refile the lawsuit.
The legal conflict arose after Williams posted on social media about erectile dysfunction, which Guobadia claimed was directed at him. He alleged that these posts damaged his reputation and sought damages from the court. Williams, however, denied that her posts were about Guobadia.
Guobadia, originally from Nigeria, asked the court to dismiss the lawsuit due to his deportation from the United States in 2025, which prevented his attendance at the trial. Williams agreed to the dismissal but requested that Guobadia cover her legal costs.
Despite the case's dismissal, Guobadia expressed that he might pursue the matter further. He emphasized in a statement to TMZ that the dismissal without prejudice allows him the option to refile the claims against Williams. He noted that the court did not rule his claims as invalid, contrasting this with Williams' legal team's push for a dismissal with prejudice, which would have permanently prevented him from refiling. Williams' request for attorney's fees was also denied.
Guobadia clarified that his voluntary dismissal should not be seen as an abandonment of his legal claims or rights, and he is consulting with his legal team on possibly refiling the case within the court's allowed timeframe.
