Plantain Seller Chooses Trade Over Teaching Career, Cites Better Earnings

Taipei:A plantain seller has shared her journey from being a teacher trainee to returning to her business, stating that her trade offers more financial stability than a teaching career.

According to Ghana Web, the woman, who was once enrolled in a teacher training college, decided to drop out in her third year to resume selling plantains. She initially paused her plantain business in her first year of college to focus on her studies but found that college life did not meet her expectations.

She explained that her time at the college was marked by financial struggles, prompting her decision to leave and return to her trade. She now claims that her plantain business is thriving, providing her with enough income to support herself and save for the future.

The woman expressed confidence in her decision, stating that the success of her business will enable her to build a two-bedroom house before her former classmates graduate, who she believes may face unemployment.
