Photos: President Mahama Welcomes St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister to Ghana

Accra: President John Dramani Mahama officially welcomed the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Michael Drew, at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Dr Drew arrived in Ghana on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, accompanied by his wife for a four-day state visit. He was greeted by Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, among other government officials.

According to Ghana Web, the two leaders engaged in bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening diplomatic relations, expanding trade and investment, and enhancing cooperation between Ghana and St Kitts and Nevis. During his address at the Jubilee House, Dr Drew expressed that President Mahama's speech at the United Nations General Assembly in 2025 was a motivating factor for his visit to Ghana.

Dr Drew highlighted his impression of President Mahama's speech at the UN General Assembly, stating, "There are a lot of speeches given at the UN General Assembly, but I particularly listened to your speech, and your speech inspired me." He shared his desire to meet President Mahama, noting, "I told my team that I wanted to meet you. And I'm not only meeting you, but you have welcomed me. Thank you very much."
