Accra: Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, has argued that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia deserves an opportunity to lead Ghana, just as President John Dramani Mahama was given another chance by Ghanaian voters. In a post on Facebook, the legislator said Ghanaians should apply the same principle of allowing political leaders to contribute to the country's development.
According to Ghana Web, Kennedy Osei Nyarko emphasized that Bawumia has not yet had the opportunity to be elected president by the Ghanaian people. He contrasted this with Mahama, who previously served as president before making a political comeback and winning another mandate. The MP stated, "Dr. Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia is yet to be voted for by the Ghanaian people as the president of this country unlike President Mahama who graciously served this country as a President before his recent comeback."
The Akim Swedru MP further emphasized the importance of giving individuals an opportunity to contribute to Ghana's development. "Every Ghanaian deserves an equal chance to contribute their quota in building this country," he said.
