Nkroful: Mr Paul Kodwo Kwaw, Ellembelle National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Secretary hopeful, has urged delegates to vote for him in the upcoming internal elections to lead the Ellembelle Constituency secretariat.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Kodwo Kwaw emphasized that his administrative leadership experience would ensure his vision is fully implemented for the benefit of all. This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Kodwo Kwaw, the Assembly Member for Kikam and Asemko Electoral Area. He outlined plans to build inclusive communication channels to serve as feedback loops for grassroots members, utilizing both physical and digital town-hall formats to allow members to voice concerns and ensure reliable feedback reaches party leadership.
Mr Kodwo Kwaw pledged transparency in the party's day-to-day affairs, aiming to share routine information, the party manifesto, government programmes, and opportunities with branch executives to keep the grassroots informed. He promised equitable reward systems by advocating for inclusive policies that allocate a fair share of political appointments and government opportunities to loyal grassroots leaders and members.
He also highlighted his commitment to actively track employment schemes, District Assembly opportunities, government scholarships, and other openings to ensure transparent communication and equal access for grassroots members. For livelihood support, Mr Kodwo Kwaw plans to collaborate with the Member of Parliament, District Chief Executive, party leadership, and stakeholders to connect branch members to micro-grant schemes, agricultural extension services, and local cooperative networks to boost economic welfare.
Additionally, he proposed establishing a localized welfare fund supported by patrons, appointees, members, and individuals who gained employment through the party to assist members during emergencies, medical crises, and funerals, reducing sole dependence on the MP and DCE for such contingencies.
On capacity building, Mr Kodwo Kwaw aims to organize local workshops in consultation with the Constituency Executive Committee to train members in vocational skills, business management, and civic leadership. He also plans to run political academies to equip grassroots members as effective advocates, polling agents, and future party candidates.
Mr Kodwo Kwaw further committed to promoting marginalized voices, ensuring young members have real influence in local programming and decision-making, and enhancing the meaningful inclusion of women in party structures by removing structural and cultural barriers to leadership. The statement described him as 'the right man for the job,' highlighting his fairness and objectivity in public, private, and political life, along with his skills as a strategic thinker, detail-oriented administrator, expert meeting facilitator, consensus builder, and anchor of trust.
