Accra: The Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic is set to resume its sitting on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has officially announced this development.
According to Ghana News Agency, a formal notice issued from the Office of the Speaker revealed that the Second Meeting of the Second Session will begin at 1000 hours at Parliament House in Accra. The notice, signed by Mr. Bagbin, emphasized that this convening is in line with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of Ghana.
Lawmakers are anticipated to return to Parliament House to continue with legislative business for the session. This upcoming meeting marks the second for the Second Session of the current Parliament. The House had previously adjourned sine die on Friday, March 27, for the Easter festivities.
