Parkoso Chief Confirms Destoolment of Family Head Amidst Controversy

Parkoso: Nana Boakye Amponsah Okofroban III, the Chief of Parkoso, near Kumasi, has confirmed the destoolment of Mr. Victor Kofi Owusu Boahene, also known as Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu, from his position as the family head of the royal Ekuona family of Parkoso.

According to Ghana News Agency, the announcement was made in a press statement where Nana Okofroban III informed the public about the Ekuona family's decision. The statement clarified that Mr. Boahene was customarily removed from his role on March 11, 2026, and a new acting family head has been appointed.

The chief introduced Mr. Jones Kennedy Brefo as the newly appointed family head and urged everyone to respect him in his new role. This move comes after Mr. Boahene was involved in several family disputes that led to numerous court cases and controversies. These issues intensified following the death of the iconic highlife music star, Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba, in the latter part of 2025.
